Metallic Expansion Joints – Gimbal

More Info

Gimbal expansion joints contain one bellows and it is designed to permit angular rotation

Gimbal expansion joints contain one bellows and it is designed to permit angular rotation in any plane by the use of two pairs of hinges affixed to a common floating gimbal ring.

These joints resist to the thrust pressure. Gimbal expansion joints should be used in sets of 2 or 3 (2 Gimbals and 1 Hinged) to function properly.
On the basis of the installation distance between themselves, they are able to accommodate greater amounts of lateral movements generating very limited forces on the anchoring.

They can also be made with bellows in stainless steel or special alloys depending of the use as 316 Ti, AISI 310, HASTELLOY, INCONEL, AVESTA 904L, MONEL 400, INCOLOY, etc.. and with ends in materials such as CORTEN, A335 P11, A333 Gr.6 and others upon request.
